Mark is a marketing communicator who develops compelling, results-focused growth strategies for music, sports, arts, entertainment and hospitality businesses, the education sector and corporate consulting firms. He has worked closely with both startups and established companies helping to refine and execute a wide range both traditional and new media marketing communications. Mark has several year’s client-side marketing management experience with organisations like McCrindle Research and Suncoast Christian College on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University and earned a Master of Marketing from the University of New South Wales. Also a guitar-nut, Mark is an alumnus of The Musicians Institute – Hollywood, California.
Mark has extensive experience as a digital producer, having project managed the development of online stores for several major sporting brands, including; allblackshop.com, shop.cricket.com.au, shop.footballaustralia.com.au, nrlshop.com, shop.bigbash.com.au, icccricketstore.com, shop.cricinfo.com, plus many more.
Mark is a published co-author of several entertainment industry texts including; Music Marketing, Music Event Management, Copyright & Music Publishing, Artist & Band Management, Budgeting and Bookkeeping for Creative People, Establishing a Small Music, Arts or Entertainment Business. Mark is co-principal with Ben O’Hara of the Australian music industry portal www.thebiz.com.au. Mark has taught marketing, music business, management at several educational institutes including The Australian Institute of Music, APM Training and JMC Academy.
